Each year, millions of dollars are lodged in the Victorian Unclaimed Money Register, including share dividends, salaries and wages, rents and bonds, debentures and interest, unpresented cheques and trust money.
We also hold unclaimed winnings from Tattslotto, Intralot and TAB tickets bought in Victoria that have remained unclaimed for six months or more.
In 2019-20, we reunited $8.7 million with rightful owners via 18,094 claims against the Unclaimed Money Register.
In May 2020, a Victoria-wide media campaign encouraging Victorians to search the register resulted in 123,865 people visiting our unclaimed money webpage (accounting for 226,453 website sessions) in the first week of the campaign.
